Excellent Corrosion Resistance: Containing 18% chromium and 8% nickel, it naturally forms a dense, self-repairing Cr₂O₃ passive film on its surface. It remains stable in atmospheric conditions, fresh water, most organic acids, and neutral salt solutions. It is safe for daily cooking and boiling environments without leaching harmful elements.
Superior Formability: With exceptionally high plasticity and no work-hardening through heat treatment, it can withstand severe cold plastic deformation without cracking. It is the ideal material for cold-working processes such as stamping, bending, and deep drawing (e.g., thermoses, sinks).
Good Weldability: It can be welded using conventional methods and generally does not require pre-heating before welding.
Food-Grade Safety: It complies with national food-grade standards (GB 4806.9-2023) and is widely used in food processing equipment, dining utensils, and medical devices.
Wide Temperature Adaptability: It maintains good low-temperature strength and mechanical properties, with a service temperature range of -196°C to 800°C.
Non-Magnetic in Annealed State: It is non-magnetic in the annealed and solution-treated condition, offering an attractive appearance. However, it may develop slight magnetism after cold working, such as stretching.
